Do you have a soft spot for dogs?

Sadly, there is a large number of stray dogs in Hungary. Our goal here at Bogancs Non-Profit Organisation and Dog Shelter is to provide shelter, food, love and proper care for these dogs, until we find them new homes. We place great emphasis on educating future dog owners for the responsible way of taking care of their pets. We hope that our work will result in more happy dogs and families living together in harmony.

Our organisation employs solely volunteers who are driven by their passion for animals and dedicate their free time for helping our dogs. Bogancs Shelter operates exclusively on donations, which we heavily depend on.

Our next project

New kennels for our dogs

There are an avarage of 120-130 dogs in Bogáncs dog shelter. We would like to provide them with even more comfortable housing with new kennels.

We have bought 6 new kennels for testing them. Our aim is to buy more new kennels for the dogs. These new shelters are made from sandwich panels and they provide safer, more hygenic and more comfortable living conditions for the dogs.

The sandwich panel is an excellent thermal insulator, warm in winter and cool in summer. These sheds are very easy to clean, they can be completely disinfected, unlike wooden sheds, they do not absorb urine, so they will not become smelly after a longer use. Furthermore, these doghouses are more resistant, so the dogs can play around without damaging them.

We want to buy sandwich kennels for our dogs primarily because of their warmth and easy disinfection.

The price of a dog house is 100,000 HUF (approximately 240 USD).
